Specialist Marine Engineering Support for BW Energy’s Maromba FPSO
HAVPORT has supported BW Energy’s Maromba FPSO project with specialist offshore engineering expertise, covering metocean studies, environmental design basis development, and advanced hydrostatic, hydrodynamic and motion analyses. Our work has addressed key risks related to mooring design, green-water, slamming, bilge keel roll response, and global wave loading.
By coordinating closely across hull, turret, mooring, marine, and SURF teams, HAVPORT has helped align critical interfaces, optimising FPSO heading and offloading performance while ensuring robust riser and umbilical hang-off structure.
From CFD-based roll-damping assessments to mooring system and geotechnical interaction support, our contribution has strengthened the technical foundation for a safe, operable, and class-compliant Maromba redevelopment.
